Yellowstone Trip
July, 1997
We may as well admit that we took the classic tourist photo:
This is the Lower Falls of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River.
But we got off the beaten path too... On a 3-day backpacking
trip, we passed a total of about 12 people.
A meadow on our hike.
Another meadow on our hike.
We camped at 3P5, a really good choice!
Here Brian is pointing at our Tent.
This is the view from our campsite.
Plenty o' Bison in Yellowstone too.
From here we went to Yellowstone Lake.
This is Lake Lodge, where we stayed one night.
Next we went fly fighing in northwest Yellowstone.
Here Brian pretends to know what he's doing.
You should have seen just after this was taken...
The next day we fished from a boat on the Yellowstone River in Montana.
Of course the scenery was great when the fishing was slow.
Nice fish, Joe!
A 19" brown trout.
